Britney Spears Wins Two Awards At The NRJ Music Awards In France
Other artists to win include Enrique Iglesias, who was named Best International Male Artist. "I feel like Akon should have gotten this award. It's a great honor for me to receive it," Iglesias told the crowd, Contactmusic reports.
The Pussycat Dolls were given the Best International Group, beating rockers Coldplay. Also, Kate Perry was given the international song of the year award for "I Kissed a Girl" at a French music award, but it turns out her song wasn't the best after all.
The award instead went to Barbados-born singer Rihanna for "Disturbia." The trophies were handed out based on results of audience votes on NRJ's website in the weeks leading up to the awards ceremony.
Perry however won in another category - best international album for "One of the Boys".
The main winners are as follows:
Best International Male Artist: Enrique Iglesias Best French Male Artist: Christophe Mae Best French Group/Duet: Cleopatre Best French New Artist: Zaho Best International Song: Rihanna - Disturbia Best International Album: Katy Perry - One Of The Boys Best International Female Artist: Britney Spears Best International Group/Duet: Pussycat Dolls Best International New Artist: The Jonas Brothers Best Video: Britney Spears - Womanizer
Britney Spears' Saucy Single from Circus, "If You Seek Amy" Nearly Banned
Rather than risk being banned, Spears, who's enjoying a comeback to top pop star after several years of a personal spiral, has headed back into the studio to re-record the song with a less provocative title, according to the Sun.
Now the song's lyrics like the naughty, non-discriminating "All the boys and girls are begging to If You Seek Amy," will be toned down by the new, less offensive and somewhat nonsensical title "If You See Amy."
The move to tone down the song has reportedly placated parents whose children listen to Spears and also radio stations fearful of being slapped with fines, according to the Sun.

Britney Spears is Losing It

Britney Spears has remained tight-lipped over the location of her new home, but it is known that she put her Studio City home on the market for more than $7 million. Spears recently took her boys Jayden James (two) and Sean Preston (three), to check out the place, and according to Spears they gave it their stamp of approval. Spears wrote on her website, "I just took my babies to our new home and they loved it! I can't wait to move in." Under the custody arrangement Spears currently has with ex-husband Kevin Federline, she has visitation right, including overnights.
In other Britney Spears news, rumors are floating around that Sarah Jessica Parker is interested in casting her in the upcoming "Sex and the City" sequel. Heat magazine quotes Parker as being overheard telling her friends, "My idea is to have someone like Britney Spears move to New York as my cousin or niece and Carrie would show her the ropes."
While this sounds like nothing more than idle gossip, we don't think it's a bad idea...although it would make a lot more sense for Spears to teach Parker a thing or two about men, not the other way around. Carrie Bradshaw may thinks she knows man troubles but Spears could surely teach her there's a huge difference between the problem of marrying no-good marijuana-smoking, trucker-hat wearing Kevin Federline, and the problem of choosing between your dreamy rich Russian and your dreamy commitment-phobic Upper East Sider.
Britney Spears wins. (And loses.)

Britney on a Bally High
Baby steps, people, baby steps.

Britney will get three days of supervised visitation per week. Sources tell us within a month she will also have overnight visitation with her kids. We're told Commish Scott Gordon was extremely impressed with Brit's progress today. It was a different story a few months back when she completely pissed him off. The Commish was somewhat blown away by her.The goal, we're told, is to ramp it up over the next few months so that Brit gets 50/50 custody, right back where she started from.

Britney Spears granted expanded visitation rights
Britney Spears will have expanded visits with her two sons following a low-key child-custody hearing in Los Angeles.Mark Vincent Kaplan, lawyer for Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline, said the longer visits are "recognition of the progress that has been made." Speaking after the hearing concluded, Kaplan said there's been no change to orders granting custody of both boys to Federline, but that Spears would see them for longer periods.
Britney Spears smiled briefly but did not address questions as she left the hearing, which was closed to reporters.

Jamie Lynn Spears Terrified Of Giving Birth
Pregnant teen pukes after watching gory childbirth vid...Lynne Spears’ well-meaning attempt to prepare daughter Jamie Lynn for motherhood has reportedly backfired.
According to a U.S tabloid, the pregnant teen threw up after being shown video footage of a real natural childbirth by her mother.
"Lynne was trying to be helpful," a source tells Star.
"She wanted to show Jamie Lynn what a woman goes through giving birth, that it's a natural and beautiful thing, but all Jamie Lynn saw was the blood - or 'goop,' as she called it - the screaming and the pain.
“It was too graphic for her. She flipped out and literally got sick."
Apparently Jamie Lynn has been put off natural childbirth all together and “is wondering if a C-section is possible.”
"She wants to be knocked out and then wake up when it's all over," adds the source.
